Tanya values an eclectic approach to treatment planning and recognizes the unique journey of every individual across their lifespan. She treats: trauma, anxiety, self-esteem, and life transitions among other mental and social emotional health concerns. She creates a warm and collaborative environment in which clients feel supported while processing past experiences and strengthening skills to accomplish goals. Tanya uses a combination of evidence-based treatments and approaches including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR), mindfulness, play-based therapy, and neuroscience. Most recently, Tanya has worked in a school-based setting providing mental and social emotional support to elementary school-aged children. Tanya holds a Master of Public Health from UCLA and a Master of Social Work with a Pupil Personnel Credential (PPSC) from SDSU. Tanya is bilingual and offers services in both English and Spanish. Tanya is a Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW 96480) supervised by Kelly Ross, LPCC.

Blanca creates a safe space for support in healing, achieving goals, and processing past experiences. She meets you where you're at and goes at your pace. Therapy will be a non-judgmental, patient, and kind environment. Blanca takes various approaches depending on goals. We will work on learning adequate coping skills to help with anxiety, depression or mood concern. We will process previous life experiences and find what works for you. Blanca’s experience includes working with children, teens and adults by addressing trauma, anxiety, depression, intimate partner violence, sexual assault, suicidality, and other mental health concerns. She uses a combination of evidence based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). She also provides strengthening grounding skills to calm your mind and body when feeling upset or overwhelmed. Blanca is a first generation Latina I am able to offer services in Spanish as well.

Nate is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who earned his Master’s degree at the

University of San Diego. Nate brings experience working with individuals, couples, and families

and especially appreciates working with patients who are trying therapy for the first time. He

strives to create a comfortable and trusting therapeutic relationship with his patients, and is not

afraid to ask some challenging questions once he gets to know you. Nate supports patients

experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, ASD, insomnia, pain, grief, and relational challenges.

Nate’s mission is for every patient to feel that they are making progress towards a goal, no

matter how big or how small that goal might be. He practices eclectically using skills from

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical

Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and

Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT).

She implements the most effective treatment plan to the particular needs of the client or family. She has experience in solution-focused therapy and in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to assist the client to understand and make connections with their mind and body. She helps to identify negative thoughts and emotions and how they affect their daily lives. She has 36 years of experience working as a social worker and counselor with children,  adolescents, adults, and parents in the areas of substance abuse, divorce, domestic. violence, child abuse, and family and mental health issues. Leticia joined Grow Through Life Counseling in 2023.

Paul is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in the state of California.  He earned his Masters degree in Social Work in 2002 and his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 1998 from San Diego State University.  He has experience working with youth, adolescents, young adults experiencing trauma, grief/loss, anxiety, depression, and ADHD.  Paul has worked children and adolescents in residential and school based programs and has worked for non-profit organizations focusing on foster youth and families, adolescents, and young adults. Paul works from a solution focused and strengths based perspective and is dedicated to healing and helping others.

Takako has experience providing therapy to children and adolescents who are diagnosed with disorders such as ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, anxiety, depression, and PTSD, and experience in integrating families into the treatment. She enjoys assisting children in building their self-esteem and self-worth. She utilizes a variety of evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, Solution Focused Therapy, and play therapy. Recognizing the wide diversity of clients she serves, she shapes treatment to fit the individual needs of each client. She provides clients with a warm and non-judgmental environment so that they can safely explore what’s most impacting their lives. Her passion is to help clients make healthy, life enriching changes.She is English and Japanese bilingual and also a Navy spouse. She welcomes the opportunity to work alongside military families in their journey. Takako is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the States of California and Illinois (LCPC), and a National Certified Counselor. Takako earned her BA in Psychology from The State University of New York and an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University in Schaumburg, Illinois.

I use humor and communication skills to foster a connection with clients and families. My experience includes providing mental health support to diverse populations: children, teens, couples and families. I am very comfortable treating a variety of diagnoses and issues, including: anxiety, panic attacks, depression, crisis, addiction, trauma, dual diagnosis and relational problems. My experience also includes helping clients navigate through the process of grief and loss related to issues of death of loved ones, illness, divorce, and job loss. I have 4 years of previous clinical experience in inpatient, partial hospitalization, and community settings. My approach to therapy includes, Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Person Centered therapy. I  utilize the connection that exists in the mind and body to promote grounding and self-regulation. Together, we will work to create a personalized plan to help you reach your goals and lead an authentic and more fulfilling life.I obtained my Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University in 2018. Prior to that I served 20+ years in the United States Navy and retired honorably. I joined the Grow Through Life Counseling Team in 2023. I also have experience working with survivors of domestic violence and children with special needs. I will listen to you attentively and wholeheartedly, free of any judgment. particular passion for working with kids and teens with disabilities, the LGBTQ+ community,

and transition-aged young adults, and have extensive experience with these populations. In

Rachael is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, who received her Master of Science from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. She has worked with children in the mental health field for several years in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She utilizes a person-centered approach when working with children in order to meet them developmentally where they are at. Rachael is passionate about working with youth and their caregivers and utilizing mental health treatment to help them thrive. She has several areas of clinical interest, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, and reactions to traumatic stress. Rachael utilizes both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy approaches to therapy. Rachael joined Grow Through Life Counseling in 2023.
