Thanksgiving, gratitude, mood elevator, counseling tips

Gratitude is the highest mood state! For an instant pick me up, think of 3 things you are grateful for. Also, a great tradition to incorporate at Thanksgiving celebrations, is to have everyone share what they are thankful for this past year. Also, consider starting family gratitude jar in which family members write down different items and place them in the jar. Then, periodically, take a few out and share them!

If you are trying to move out of a negative mood state, curiosity is the first floor. If you can get curious, instead of upset, you are controlling your mood and elevating it!
