Welcome Adrianne Domingo, ASW
Adrianne is a registered Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) and has been working in the field since 2014. Adrianne is supervised by Kirsten Wimmer, LMFT. Adrianne received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, Riverside in June 2012, then her Master of Social Work degree from San Diego State in May 2016. Adrianne began her work while in graduate school, working as a residential counselor for a local residential treatment facility. Adrianne also has experience working in school-based suicide prevention, providing case management services and working at the PHP/IOP levels of care with teenagers and their families. She aspired to be a therapist after identifying the discrepancies and gaps of support while growing up as a first-generation child of immigrant parents. Adrianne uses a trauma-informed, culturally competent, somatic-based approach (including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and mindfulness exercises) with the goal of helping clients identify barriers or obstacles and actively make changes within their locus of control. Her overall goal is to bridge the gap for people in their journey towards mental wellness by normalizing therapy, acknowledging cultural/generational differences and providing safe spaces for emotions. Adrianne is currently accepting new patients in our Sorrento Valley location and via Telehealth.
