Welcome Harriet Esquivel, AMFT
Harriet joins our Chula Vista team this week and is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who received her Masters of Art in Marriage and Family Therapy/Art Therapy from Notre Dame de Namur University in 2019. Harriet aims to help children and teens overcome their obstacles and support them in their journey towards personal growth. She believes that art is a bridge that can help people communicate when words have failed and can be a reflection of who they are and who they want to be. And if you’re not an art person, that’s okay! Every client has their own unique needs, experiences and goals. She believes in honoring the dignity and sacredness of each person and embraces the gift of diversity. Harriet has been trained in Art Therapy, Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy, play therapy and mindfulness. She takes a strength based, person centered approach and uses patience and creativity to help her clients develop a trusting and meaningful relationship while working together to develop new skills to help her client’s reach their goals and improve their over all well being.
