I provide services to adolescents and adults struggling with mental health related issues and substance abuse. I am currently offering services via telehealth and in person. My therapeutic approach is client-

centered, non-judgmental, and working with you to make changes. I utilize a strength-based

approach in addition to cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy to

empower you to create changes that you can implement into your everyday life. I am experienced

working with individuals and couples experiencing a range of issues including: anxiety, depression,

addiction, self-esteem, trauma, life transitions and more. I take a client centered, strength-based

approach to create a collaborative and positive experience while empowering you to establish

healthy change. A quote from Neale Donald Walsch that I believe, “Life begins at the end of your comfort zone."

Jeanette has worked with various populations, including families involved in Child Welfare Services, individuals with chronic illness, and families in the LGBTQ+ community. Jeanette's passion for working with youth and families includes addressing complex trauma, family conflict, peer conflict, identity exploration, anxiety, depression, the impacts of social media/devices, and parenting challenges. In her therapeutic approach, Jeanette seeks to empower individuals in their pursuits by acknowledging them as experts in their experiences and needs. Jeanette's diverse skill set includes Play Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Positive Discipline, PRIDE Skills, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Bowenian Family Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. Jeanette believes everyone deserves a sense of belonging and a safe place to land while navigating life’s challenges. She holds a master's degree in Marital and Family Therapy from the University of San Diego and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego.

Naz has worked with various populations and is passionate about using cognitive behavioral and solution-focused therapy to help her clients. Born and raised in Iran, she moved to the U.S. when she was 17. She understands and can relate to her clients who have migrated to the U.S. and are experiencing changes in attitudes, family values, generational status, and social affiliations. She has experience working with clients with severe and acute mental illness. Nazanin is also passionate about Holistic therapy, where she focuses on a person's physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being. She might use art or music to work with people or mindfulness practices, including meditation and relaxation techniques and physical approaches such as yoga or Tai Chi. Nazanin graduated from UCSD, majoring in Psychology, and received her master's degree in MFT and PCC from National University.

With a compassionate and collaborative approach, she is dedicated to empowering individuals and families as they grow in their unique healing journeys. Lanelle has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by individuals and families dealing with mental health conditions. She utilizes evidence-based approaches: CBT, DBT, ACT, MI and culturally relevant approaches to promote resilience and foster positive change. She delivers compassionate, holistic, and culturally responsive therapy to all ages and diverse backgrounds. She enjoys helping underserved communities. Her approach is grounded in a social justice and trauma-informed lens, strength-based, person-centered, and fosters a non-judgmental, affirming environment. She has more than 6 years of experience in community based and outpatient settings working with youth, adults and families. Lanelle welcomes individuals with intersecting identities, particularly 2SLGBTQIA+ and BIPOC folx of diaspora. She is a first-generation Chicana, fluent in both Spanish and English.

Sarah is deeply committed to issues of interpersonal and social justice and specializes in addressing experiences with interculturalism, internationalism, spirituality, and gender and power on couple and family relationships. She utilizes a post-modern lens, specifically Solution Focused Therapy, with an intersectional Feminist Family Therapy grounding. In addition, she is trained in Socio-Emotional Relationship Therapy and explores the biopsychosociospiritual influences on relationships. She has worked with a variety of clients -children, teens, and adults- in a variety of configurations -individual, couple, and family- in outpatient and residential treatment centers, behavioral health institute, transplantation institute, and community agencies. Sarah believes in the importance of care, courage, and prudence. Unconditional care and positive regard for self and others, the courage to explore difficult and painful experiences in a safe and validating environment, and the prudence and wisdom to know when to safely proceed and when to pause and take the time needed for growth and healing. Ultimately, Sarah believes that everyone is deserving of connection, hope, engagement, and empowerment in one’s journey of healing as well as confidence in their influence on their relationships and world.  Sarah earned her masters degree in Counseling Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, from Lewis & Clark College and a post-master's certificate in Medical Family Therapy as well as a doctoral degree in Marital and Family Therapy from Loma Linda University.

She has worked in early childhood settings, schools, and has provided home visiting and clinic-based services. Her experience helps guide strategies that are practical, strength-based and centered around the client’s chosen goals. Treatment is individualized. With extensive training in attachment, child development, and trauma, Marisol knows the importance of building healthy relationships. She has experience with children, teens and families working on a wide range of challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, parenting issues, strained peer relationships and grief. Play therapy and parent-child coaching is often utilized. She also promotes a mind-body connection, knowing that integration allows for repair and resilience. Marisol earned her Master of Science in Child Development specializing in Early Childhood Mental Health from San Diego State University and a Master of Arts in Human Development from Pacific Oaks University.

Sara received her Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling from Adam's State University, Colorado in 2018. She has worked in a variety of settings such as public schools, residential treatment centers, to pro bono community health agencies. Sara has experience with a varied demographic: children and adolescents from economically challenged backgrounds, families, and adults who have struggled with disorders such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, panic attacks, ADHD, autism substance abuse, as well as bipolar disorder. She enjoys using cognitive behavioral therapy as well as a solution- focused approach. Sara uses her compassionate personality to develop a trusting and meaningful relationship with her clients. She believes in the power of healing through human connection, and strives to ensure your present pain doesn't make you forget about your future purpose.

Ava is a seasoned counselor and experienced clinician with skills grounded in attachment theory, narrative therapy, trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy, DBT, and the intersectionality of women and multiculturalism. She has a deep passion for supporting women and new parents during the transformative process of pregnancy and childbirth. This includes supportive care of postpartum and peripartum mood disorders, the welcoming of new parental identities, raising children, and mourning the loss of one's former self. Ava is truly person-centered and recognizes how difficulties experienced during various spaces of one’s life can cause profound disruption to emotion regulation. Ava values a holistic approach to treatment planning, recognizing the importance of every individual’s unique journey and utilizing a culturally-sensitive lens to help tailor treatment goals to the person in front of her. Ava also specializes in issues related to self-esteem and self-worth, social pressure, mood disorders, vocational and academic anxiety, and interpersonal effectiveness. She has extensive training in the trauma-informed lens and is passionate in serving diverse populations in her decade-long career, spanning everything from at-risk youth and their families, to relational aggression in schools, to trauma-recovery work with military and refugee populations in San Diego County. Ava’s other experience with GTLC includes facilitating a new mom’s support group, providing clinical supervision, and managing the practice’s Clinical Onboarding Program where she oversees the mentorship and support of our newly hired team members. Ava is bilingual and offers services in both English and Farsi.
