Lauren provides culturally inclusive and affirming care to people from all backgrounds. She enjoys building strong connections and appreciates people as they are. She has a passion for working with those who face complex trauma, sexual violence, BIPOC/mixed/queer-specific challenges, and ambiguous loss. Lauren utilizes a trauma-informed, client-centered, and eclectic approach. She believes collaboration, authenticity, and a sense of safety are essential for growth. She is skilled in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, The Gottman Method, and Motivational Interviewing; as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Lauren is a second generation AMFT who had the privilege of working closely with diverse populations over several years. These experiences began as a peer-educator among preschool, high school, and university students by promoting accessible, empowerment-based programming. During her graduate program, she spent 2 years providing culturally responsive mental health services at a non-profit. In the past year, she has gained private practice experience enhancing relational health with evidence-based practices. Lauren received both her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Public Administration, and her Master of Science in Marital and Family Therapy from California State University, Dominguez Hills.
