Samantha is a compassionate, approachable, and supportive counselor dedicated to supporting children and teens in their mental health journey. She takes a person-centered, trauma-informed, and multicultural-competent approach, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play therapy, and mindfulness techniques to create a safe and nurturing environment for her clients. With a strong background in working with youth, Samantha has experience as a Girl Scouts outreach leader, an ABA therapist for children with autism, and a one-on-one special education and general teacher aide in schools. She has also worked in community mental health with Telecare Pathways to Recovery, supporting adults facing severe mental illness, substance use challenges, and housing instability. Samantha is passionate about giving back to her community and empowering individuals through culturally responsive care. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in child development from San Diego State University in 2019 and her Master’s degree in clinical counseling from Alliant International University in 2024.
